Scientific Review Committee
The Scientific Review Committee (SRC) reviews all cancer-related clinical trial protocols performed at OU Medicine and the OU Health Sciences Center. The goal of the SRC is to ensure that all protocols meet the highest standards of scientific merit and that Cancer Institute resources are properly allocated. It also serves as a scientific resource for the IRB in matters of cancer research. The SRC application process is very similar to that of the IRB. Differences include filling out an Application for SRC Review form and separate deadlines for submission and review. The SRC provides rapid feedback to investigators and forwards approved applications to the IRB for review of patient safety issues.
