OU Physicians offers the most comprehensive gastroenterology
services in Oklahoma. Our gastroenterologists are experts at diagnosing and treating all types of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. This includes obesity, reflux, ulcers, glucose intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease and other esophageal, stomach and colon problems.

We are the only practice in the state offering endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration. EUS is used to stage cancers of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas and rectum. It is also used to diagnose pancreatic cancer, which sometimes can only be detected with EUS. Also, EUS can detect problems in the pancreas or bile ducts that can’t be identified by any other test.

The full range of diagnostic procedures is available in a gastroenterology laboratory located on the same floor as our offices. Evaluations include colonoscopies, liver and small-bowel biopsies and tests on the esophagus, stomach and bowels.

Our digestive diseases specialists consult and make recommendations suited to your individual needs. Health maintenance programs incorporate diet, regular exercise and behavior modification.
