Pulmonary and Critical Care Problems affecting the lungs and breathing are among those most disruptive to our quality of life. In some cases, pulmonary disorders, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), are life-threatening. If you battle respiratory problems, our pulmonologists can help. They use a pulmonary function laboratory to assist with complete evaluations. Based upon our doctors' analysis of this testing and other evaluations, a specific treatment plan is created for your needs. Sometimes this includes amazing treatments, such as brachytherapy for lung cancers and stents to open airways in the bronchial tubes. Clinical trials also may provide you with the opportunity to try promising, innovative treatments not available elsewhere.
